Uganda Federation of Movie Industry (UFMI) is the Audio Visual Collective Management Organization (CMO) in Uganda registered on 13 th .June. 2011.
UFMI is established by Section 64 of the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act 2006 and Section 16 of the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Regulations 2010 to regulate, coordinate and supervise activities in the audio visual sector in Uganda to protect and promote the social and economic interests of Ugandan audio visual Authors, Performers and Producers and foreigners through reciprocal protection (Sections 3 and 81 of the Act 2006). UFMI manages both reproduction and public performance right.
